Brokerage event

The EU funded project Microsapient (Synergetic Process Integration for Efficient Micro and Nano Manufacture) is organising a brokerage event with the aim of linking technical experts and industrial practitioners with common interests in the area of micro- and nano- manufacturing technologies.

The event will take place in FZ Karlsruhe, Germany on 7-8 November 2006

µSapient First Stage Roadmapping report has been published

This document reports the outcomes from a twelve-week programme, as a precursor to the main body of µSapient Workpackage 1 (WP1). µSapient WP1 comprises a set of activities aimed at developing a long term EU vision regarding micro- and nano- technologies (MNT) by performing sector and industry specific studies on MNT manufacturing technologies, manufacturing strategies, benchmarking and market analyses.

Micro and Nano Manufacturing Community of Practice Web Portal

The micro and nano manufacturing community of practice web portal will be established as a forum linking a large number of EU and national projects. The community will be collecting information and data on the latest R&D results, world best practices as well as national and international initiatives.

The µSAPIENT community of practice will be supported by a web portal which will be an advanced interactive environment providing all essential information for industry and R&D performers in the area of micro and nano manufacturing. The portal will provide exhaustive project information and links to key R&D performers in Europe and beyond, links to company technology bulletins, discussion forums, surveys and marketing bulletins, mapping of key technology providers, system integrators and end users.

Added to this public area, the web portal will provide a restricted common repository to share information for people involved in roadmapping and specific interest groups.
